Say Cheese

I don't know how little kids learn to smile this way for a camera. It cracks me up to see their "picture faces" that look like grimaces to me!

Wrapped Braid

OK these pics look a little goofy, so don't make fun of me. This week I tried a french braid that kind of wraps around the head.

Here is the link (which has all the instructions) and a picture of the one I pinned:

I went for a simpler version that was just one braid all the way around. It took me three tires, but I was pretty happy with the way it turned out.

I also tried the Hasselbeck Potatoes pinned here, and I didn't love them. Maybe I did it wrong, I'm no chef.

Anyway, next week: something crafty!

Little Box Head

This little dork was playing with a box from a part to the toilet the other day. He was trying so hard to get it on his head, but his head was just a little to big. He probably tried for a good 10 minutes until he finally pushed it on hard enough to break one of the sides and get it on. Then he was just as happy as can be with his new hat!

Makes Us Laugh

Eric got a new phone the other day and he took a picture of Luke to be his background. But on his home screen, this is what it actually looks like.

It makes us laugh every time.

My Own Personal Pinterest Challenge

I love Pinterest. I recommend it to everyone. I spend way too much time looking at things on there, and not enough time actually doing the stuff I pin. So when I saw Young House Love's Pinterest Challenge, I thought I needed to get in on that too.

Only they are doing one pin per month. I think I can step it up and do one pin per week. Whether that's something I made, a new recipe, a hairstyle, a game to try with the boys, anything! That's my goal anyway. I am going to start posting my done pins on Fridays of every week, so here goes the first one!

I've seen many versions of this on Pinterest, but here's the one I pinned here.

Here is how it turned out on me. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Strobe Light. I love it!

I actually added another coat of sparkles later, but I forgot to take another picture. Eric made fun of it and when I said it was cool, he said yeah for a 13 year old! But I still love it.

Update: Another blog that I love, eighteen25, is doing something called This Just Pinned. Cute idea! Here is the newest post.

Luke and the Purple Marker

I've never actually read Harold's version, but I'm betting he didn't draw on himself.

August Houses

I have actually had these done for a while but I forgot to post them until now.
I think the colors are so pretty! My favorite one is the Cabana in the middle, but the close up was blurry so you'll have to look from afar.

I might be gone for a while...

I have an order of 90 birdhouses to make in the style of this one from my shop, so my kitchen looks like this right now:

I'll be back when they are done!

Brotherly Love

Since I work late, I never get a chance to put the boys to bed. I do always peek at them though, when I head upstairs myself. Last night I found this:

Will had climbed into Luke's bed and they were sleeping together. I thought it was so sweet!

By the way, they did last the whole night this way.
