Laundry Room

Ok, so I skipped last week. I have been crazy busy. This week, I don't even have a full post about Pinterest Friday, but here is Part One of the Laundry Room! Here is my original pin from Sausha at Show and Tell, plans by Ana White. As soon as I saw this, I knew I wanted to make this pedestal in my house. And so far, I am loving the extra height!
We have since finished the floor and still need to add a light, some trim and baseboards, and probably put in a shelf to hold our stuff. I will post pictures when we are all done!

Dirty Dash

Eric ran the Dirty Dash this year with some guys from the neighborhood. He had a blast. I didn't get to go watch him because he had to go early in the morning and I was busy. Sleeping.
This is how he looked after the race. There pictures of during the race are somewhere, but I don't know how to log in to their website to get them.

Smarty Pants

Lutie-poo figured out how to get himself a drink when I'm not helping him. He sticks his sharp little fingers in the juice box to break the seal and then he can suck out the juice without a straw.

Stinkerbutt.

My Newest Project

This is what I have been working on recently:
A Christmas Advent! I am so excited about this one, the ornaments are looking so cute! Don't worry, I am making one for me and TWO for you! It is probably going to take a while to get it into the shop but I will keep you updated.

The UP House

We went to the Parade of Homes in Salt Lake this year. Actually, about a month ago. (Sorry, I'm behind.) The reason we went was all for this: The UP house. The other houses were cool, but this one was AWESOME. I heard that the builders actually got permission and plans from Disney to make a copy of the house from the movie.

They had a Carl sitting on the front porch with his cane.

There was even custom built furniture to match the movie.

This was in the nursery. Look mom, you have that exact lamp!

The master bedroom. I forgot to take a picture of the master bathroom, but it was beautiful. It had an old fashioned claw foot tub.

The kitchen it not shown in the movie, but they did a good job making it look retro.

They had this room in the basement: it looked just like Andy's room from Toy Story.

Here is the backyard with a cool arbor.

Pinterest Recipe Fail

This week I tried a recipe. It was crock pot macaroni and cheese. The pin is here. I didn't love it. It was kinda dry, which I think was because it cooked for too long. The recipe said to cook it for five to six hours and that was too much.
So since that picture is not too appetizing, here are some pictures of our tomatoes from the garden! We have way too many this year since the tomato plants have kinda taken over two our six boxes in our garden. We picked a bunch and piled them and the boys in the wagon and went around to the neighbors to give them away (tomatoes, not boys). Eventually we found enough neighbors who don't have gardens of their own to give them away.
Anybody else need some tomatoes?

Photos By Wills

So after taking tons of pictures of finger puppets this summer, Wills has it in his head that what we do with puppets is take pictures. A while ago after we finished a new set, he grabbed them and took them in the living room and set up a little shoot. I though it was so funny how he imitated me like that.

Then one day when I uploaded pictures from my camera I found this gem:

A self portrait of Wills.

Painters

We found the cool rubber band model kits at Michaels for a dollar. Can't beat that! Wills loved painting his. He was really into getting the colors just right and he wouldn't let me help him. He layered the paint on pretty thick. Will got a helicopter.

Luke's was a catapult. He was more interested in dipping his fingers in the paint. I think he also must have tasted it since he has blue lips.

September Houses: Back To School

This week for my Pinterest Challenge I did my houses for September. I am doing some for every month of the year. You can see my July houses here, and my August houses here. Here is the original pin from Whimsy Studios, and here are mine.
I love how bright and colorful these are! And for a bonus, I also made the S'more cookies pinned here. They were SO GOOD. I was going to do a different treat, but it turns out I threw away my mini muffin tin when it got rusty, so maybe I'll do those next week. Here's a picture for you to drool over.

Now They Are Both Climbers

Any long time readers (my mom) might remember this post from March 2010 where I showed you how William had learned to climb up onto the counter. Well he still does that sometimes, and now he has a little partner in crime.

At least this time they are less naked.
