Honey Chicken Kabobs

This week I made Honey Chicken Kabobs found on this pin. I didn't even take a picture (because Eric actually assembled them, I just marinated the meat.) So here's the picture form the pin, and just pretend mine looked just like this.
They did look pretty close actually. They were delicious! Pretty much just tasted like a good teriyaki sauce, you didn't really taste the honey, but it was still great!

October Houses: Halloween

I am still loving making these houses every month for decorations. In case you missed them, here are July, August, and September. October's of course are Halloween. Here is the original pin from Lori at Whimsy Studios, and here are mine!
I put them in a different spot this month, since my usual shelf is filled with potions and poisons. I should show you a picture of those, since they are my favorite Halloween decoration. Another day!

Luke's Somersault

This is how Luke does a somersault. He just puts his head down on the ground and stays like that, doesn't try to flip over. That's why this is a still picture and not a video.
Aslo, he chose to wear that one baby leg warmer for two days. He got mad when we tried to take it off.

Future Project

I finally found the perfect piece to build my Christmas present from!
If you follow me on Pinterest, you probably know what this is going to be, but in case you don't know, your hints are here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.

Snapshot of Play

This week for Pinterest Friday, I tried to imitate this picture of Erin from Lemon Tree Creations's kids playing. I like how the shot is composed, where it is through the doorway. My picture is not as good.
I thought the way the shot was composed looked like a fun peek into their playtime, without being up in their business. I need to work on exposure to make the doorway darker and the focus more on the kids, but I am going to a photography class soon, so hopefully I learn how to do just that!

Advent #2

I showed you the first six ornaments from my advent calendar here, now here are the next six!
Halfway done! (With the ornaments, then I still have to make the tree to hang them.)

Our New Swimming Pool

Not a pool really, just a sandbox. My boys always throw out all the sand all over the yard so we are left with nothing at the end of the summer. (Does anybody else have to buy new sand yearly?) When the sprinklers filled up the sandbox with water, Luke decided to go swimming. I didn't catch him until it was too late, and when I went to get the camera he got out. So I made him get back in for these pictures. I can't really tell if he liked it or not.
I think he did like it.
What's going on down there?
You can see how deep it was from this one.
That was one FULL diaper.
