My Birthday

My birthday was pretty low key this year. Eric took me to get a much needed pedicure, and we got together with Eric's family on Sunday for dinner. I got pampered with clothes and jewelery from the family, and had some great ice cream cake. Thanks everyone!

Stuck

This poor little boy got himself into this position, and then couldn't get out. So I took a picture.

The Dog's New Name

Recently, William has forgotten Bree (the dog)'s name, and he has been calling them both Sadie. The other day, we were outside and I was trying to teach him the difference by telling him that Sadie is white with brown spots and Bree is brown. So now he calls Bree, "brown Sadie."

Raspberry Jam

I love homemade freezer jam, so this year Eric bought a case of raspberries to make jam. It was super easy and I have already eaten a whole jar (with help from Will and Luke).

He got into the berries before I had finished.

Luke eating a spoonful of jam, which he really shouldn't because it's like 70% sugar.

Family Reunion

Every year, we go to the Coles Family Reunion in Idaho and camp there for a few days. This year was fun, but a little different for Eric and I because usually, we have time to socialize, play games, I read and sew, Eric like to fish and shoot clay pigeons. This year with two kids, we didn't have time for any of that, and even went to bed early every night. Except that I did stay up one night because I had to have a s'more. Or three.

But it is still fun to see all the cousins and relax for a few days. The farm was really pretty this year; everything was so green.

Will kept telling everyone this was our house.

If you look closely, you can see a teeny little William here.

There was a bald eagle on the mountain we were trying to show him, I guess this is Will's concentrating face.

This one is fuzzy, but it's too cute to resist. #17 and little #66.

Ethan shooting off his bottle rocket. It sprayed water all over Wills and then he didn't want to take his turn.

Waiting for our turn with the rockets.

Pioneer Day and Bees Game

July 24th this year was really fun. We went to the Salt Lake Bees baseball game, mostly for the fireworks. I'm not all that into baseball, but Eric will pretend to be if you ask him. We met our friends Alison and Ethan and their boy Soren at the game.

The boys both got new baseball outfits (from Eric), and Wills got a ball.

We got to go sit on the field to watch the fireworks after the game and that was so cool. I'm thinking this might have to be a yearly tradition.
