Halloween 2011

Happy Halloween! This year William dressed up as Spiderman, which he had been planning for months. He even made me get him some gloves "so he could shoot webs."
I couldn't think of anything for Luke, so at the last minute we got him this costume, but we made it way better.
We rigged up a fake pair of legs to make it look like he was a boy riding a dinosaur, instead of just growing out of the dinosaur's back. You can see what I mean from this picture. Luke didn't love how bulky it was, but it was pretty hilarious to see him waddle around like a pregnant lady. And he did get lots of compliments trick or treating.
Luke was pretty fed up with it by the end of the night, but Spidey had a blast the whole time. I just realized I didn't get any pictures with the mask on, but he's cuter without it anyway.

October Houses: Halloween

I am still loving making these houses every month for decorations. In case you missed them, here are July, August, and September. October's of course are Halloween. Here is the original pin from Lori at Whimsy Studios, and here are mine!
I put them in a different spot this month, since my usual shelf is filled with potions and poisons. I should show you a picture of those, since they are my favorite Halloween decoration. Another day!

Some Really Cool Pumpkins

They had a display in Disneyland with a bunch of really cool carved pumpkins. Can you tell what they all are?

Halloween at Disneyland

We met a lot of new characters when we went to Disneyland this last time. William loved Sully and actually gave him a hug.

He was terrified of Jack Skellington, he wouldn't even look at him.

Here is the hag from Snow White...

the Queen of Hearts...

and Frollo from the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

We also saw Pocohontas on a bridge. It was cool for Eric to meet his great grandma, and William was checking out her legs. Weird, because I guess she is his great grandma too. If you don't know what I'm talking about, let Eric tell you.

This is in the Mexican restaurant. They had pretty cool decorations for Dia de los Muertos, and I don't know if I spelled that right.

I though it was really fun to meet Frozone when the boys were Incredibles.

And we had to meet Tinkerbell when William was Peter Pan. We brought last year's halloween costume because it still fit and he still loves it.

This is Duffy, Mickey's Teddy Bear. I think he is new, and they had stickers that said, "I hugged Duffy", so I had to hug him.

Here are the boys again. William was helping Luke with his bottle.

And one more of the Incredibles. This was supposed to be a nice, still pose but they both started to run away as soon as I put them there, and now it's perfect for the costumes.

(I don't know why this is fuzzy here, if you click on the picture it will not be fuzzy.)

Happy Halloween!

I have more pictures for later, but here is a look at my incrediboys. This is their fighting stance. See the fists?

Peter Pan

William was Peter Pan for Halloween this year (even though some people thought he was Robin Hood). I made his costume with fleece and felt and it's a good thing the weather was nice or no one would have seen his costume. Here are some pics of Peter playing with Batman and Robin.

New Pajamas

Ok so he's actually had them for a while, I'm just now getting around to posting. Cute, huh? The pirate ship is glow in the dark. And his cousins have the same ones by coincidence.

Catch-up pictures

Eric's pumpkin got eaten by a praying mantis. That's why there's a hole in the tooth.

Halloween?

I'm thinking about skipping Halloween this year. Eric will be working, I always buy candy the day after to get it on sale and William is not old enough to know any different. It really just seems silly to me to put him in a costume just so I can take pictures of him. Besides, it's Eric's family that would want to see William dressed up but his parents will be out of town and I don't want to take him to the grandparents' houses by myself. Does my theory make sense to anyone else?
