Brianne's New Skill

So it turns out, Brianne has never earned how to ride a bike. So today before she left I tried to teach her how. It's a little bit hard when the person who is learning is on an adult-size bike, but we managed (sorta). I held her up on one side while my dad held her up on the other. That was until Eric got home. Since he's stronger than both of us put together, he was a LOT better at holding her up. I took video of her learning and falling over, but can't post it because no computer. Dang!

The Blessing

We had William's baby blessing today in church. It was so perfect! My parents and sister were here from North Carolina and my mom's family that lives in Utah were abe to come too. Of course Eric's whole family was there also. They are always so supportive in coming to things like this. We probably doubled the size of the ward with all of us. Afterwards, we had everybody over at our house for a lunch and our house was PACKED! It was nice to have everybody there to see the finished house before we sell it.

Two left feet

My sister has been visiting for the past little while. Tonight she was telling us this story about her dance class and she was trying to imitate this girl's leaps. I thought I'd take a shot at it because how hard can it be, right? It turns out, I am no good. I get my rights and lefts mixed up and I almost fall over. My mom told me that she put me in ballet class when I was little but not to make me a little ballerina. She put me in the class because I was so clumsy and I could fall down walking across the room. She wanted me to gain some grace. I don't think it worked. I looked pretty silly.

This Week

Wow there has been a lot going on this last week. I made my first quilt with lots of help from my mom. We did a lot of shopping in grocery stores and other places to get ready for William's baby blessing on sunday. I worked a lot of hours at jetblue. My dad got into town today after flying for practically the whole day from Raleigh to Las Vegas to Salt Lake. We have all been playing with William and getting lots of cute smiles. Still no pictures of anything though, because Eric has not had time to fix the computer from being out of town so much.

Finally... Eric is home

I am waiting at the airport right now to pick up Eric. He has been out of town a ton the past little while for work. He left last tuesday for Vegas and then went to Phoenix and came back at 4 in the morning on sunday. He was here for father's day, then left again monday and is finally coming back today. I think he has to go back to Vegas next week, too. I wish he didn't have to work out of town so much!

Father's Day

For Eric's first father's day, I bought him and William matching outfits. They are so cute! I will post pictures as soon as we get the new motherboard that came in the mail today installed.

The flu

The flu sucks. Eric has been out of town for a few days now and I have been sicker than I have felt for a long time the past 24 hours. The only good thing I can say about it is that my mom and sister got here from North Carolina at the perfect time. There's no way I could have taken care of myself and a baby feeling this bad. They have both taken such good care of me and I am so grateful to have them here.

Lots of Babies

We went to a baby blessing on Sunday for Eric's cousin's baby. There were a lot of babies at the house afterwards, and we took this picture of all the kids from the Johnson side. From the left to right, this is Madeline, Sydney, Ethan, Logan, William, and Ava. Ethan and Logan are William's first cousins. Logan and William were even born on the same day. William is definately the tannest out of the bunch, but we're not sure why!
