Up Up and Away!

We got some good use out of our superhero capes the other day. Super Wills was flying all over the backyard, and using his super powers to pick up Luke by his head.

Pillow Pet

The boys both got pillow pets for Christmas last year, but nothing beats the real thing.

It's a good thing that Eddie is such a patient cat. And that he is fat to cushion his organs.

Fire Pit Part 2

So your remember where I showed you here how we loved our new fire pit for s'mores and sitting around it singing kumbayah? Just kidding about that last part. Anyway, now the boys have a new favorite part about the fire pit.

It is to play in the ashes when mom's not looking.

This picture is hilarious to me because Luke came in looking like the picture above. Then for whatever reason, he slapped his ash-covered hand to his face and left a big black hand print.

A Silly Thing Wills Does That I Don't Know What To Call

Recently Will started to do this silly thing where he makes a noise over and over and you ask him what he's doing and he says, "I'm just saying (insert noise)". He does this with all kinds of noises. It's kinda funny, so I got a video to remember it for when he's too old to do it anymore.

Motorcycles

Wills has been obsessed with motorcyles recently, and I think this is coming from the trip to California last month, when he got to sit on my uncle's motorcycle and wear the helmet.

The other day when we were in Toys R Us he wanted me to buy him a motorcycle. Not just a little toy one, he wanted the one you can ride on. Like a real baby motorcycle. I didn't even think they existed for kids that little.

And every time we see or hear a motorcycle, he tells me that it is his or mine or dad's. Silly boy.

Peter Pan Puppets

Peter Pan is Will's favorite movie. So much so that he was Peter Pan for Halloween in 2009, and again last year for one day, just because the costume still fit. He will ask to watch that probably one out of three movies. I think it's great because it actually has a lot going on and I don't mind listening to it. Not like some other movies, like How To Train Your Dragon, which is a cute movie but that guy's voice just BUGS ME.

Anyway, my mom made a set of finger puppets for him so he can act out the story. Of course he loves them and he makes them fight and sings the songs, and just has a great time.

Rodeo

The boys wanted to go to a rodeo on July 4th this year so we all got dressed up in our cowboy hats (just kidding, I don't have one), and headed to West Jordan.

They have a carnival going on during the day and we let the boys take a ride on the ponies since they wanted to be real cowboys. Luke didn't love it at first, but Eric walked around with him, and when the ride was over he didn't want to leave. He talked about those horses all night.

We had to stand there and watch the horses for a while too.

The rodeo was fun. We had great seats, right on the first row. They were doing all bull riding that night so it was a little monotonous, but the boys loved it. Eric too.

Putting the Fire Pit To Use

This is one of the reasons that I love summer.

Mmmmm... s'mores.
