Eric loves those Hostess Cupcakes, so I tried this recipe I pinned from Chef in Training. (The original recipe is from Sugar Derby) I didn't take pictures of the process, but here is the finished product!
Here, I'll even eat one for you so you can see the inside.
The recipe didn't actually have the melting chocolate for the shell on the list of ingredients, so they sat in my freezer unfinished for a couple days before I went to the store again. So if you make these, make sure you get the melting chocolate! And I didn't do the white swirls because I wasn't going to buy a whole pack of white chocolate for one tiny thing.
They taste really good. Dang close to the real thing. And I'm trying not to eat them all because now I know how much shortening goes into these.

Ninja
William had to go to the doctor today. He fell off a chair and had a big gash in the back of his head.
The doctor had to put three staples in him. He was so strong and brave. He wasn't even crying when we got to the doctor. He wanted to go play in the waiting area.
He did cry when they put the staples in, but then stopped right after and played again while I paid.
Now he is wearing this ninja headband (just so we don't have to look at the staples, it has no other purpose). But when he says it, it sounds more like "engine headband".

Chicken Taco Bowls
I tried a crockpot recipe this week from Budget Bytes that I found on Pinterest.
(Not my picture, this is the pin)
This was so good! Definitely going to do this one again.

Christmas 2011
Our Christmas was off to a rocky start this year. Luke didn't want to be awake, and the only thing that got him to stop crying was the promis of candy in his stocking.
Here he is excited about the candy.
I don't want to bore anyone with tons of present opening or a list of what we got, but it was a good year. The boys were very spoiled with all of their loot.
Our living room tree that we decorated with gingerbread men.
Merry Christmas!
